Top Chargers WR Targets Inactive For MNF Vs Cardinals, Complete Inactive List

The Los Angeles Chargers‘ decision to build their offense without many offensive weapons, particularly at the wide receiver position, is now coming back to haunt them. With injuries to some of their key playmakers, the Chargers will face a significant challenge in their upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Chargers are facing significant challenges at the wide receiver position heading into their Week 7 matchup. Several key players, including Quentin Johnston, DJ Chark, Derius Davis, Simi Fehoko, Hayden Hurst, and Ladd McConkey, are listed as questionable or doubtful due to injuries.

Monday night it was officially announced that Johnston, Chark, Davis, and Hurst will all miss Monday Night Football — with the status of the others, McConkey and Fehoko up in the air.

These players represent a significant portion of the Chargers’ passing game, accounting for 60 percent of their passing targets, 52 percent of their catches, 61 percent of their passing yards, 70 percent of their receiving first downs, and 83 percent of their passing touchdowns.

The Chargers will have some receivers available, including Josh Palmer, Brenden Rice, and Will Dissly. They also activated Jalen Reagor to the active squad from the practice team early Monday afternoon.

Reagor, a former first-round draft pick, struggled to meet the high expectations in the NFL. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020, he had limited success in his first two seasons. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 and was later released by the team. He most recently played for the New England Patriots. In 10 games he caught seven passes for 138 yards for the Pats. He did have a three-game stretch with explosive gains of 28, 39 and 33.
