Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins has suffered a setback in his impressive comeback season. The team announced that he has sprained his MCL and will miss at least one game. He is considered week-to-week.

Dobbins exited the game against the Baltimore Ravens before halftime. He was seen getting his knee taped heavily on the sidelines, but ultimately left for the locker room before the team’s final offensive drive of the half. He returned wearing a knee brace but returned to the locker room. Later, he was seen on the sidelines out of uniform, but not in a brace.

Dobbins, who joined the Chargers this offseason after suffering a series of injuries with the Ravens, has been a key contributor to the team’s offense. He has rushed for 766 yards and eight touchdowns on 158 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Additionally, he has caught 28 passes for 134 yards, both career highs.

The Chargers likely look to other running backs, such as Gus Edwards, rookie Kimani Vidal, and Hassan Haskins to fill the void left by Dobbins’ absence.
