After being eliminated in the Wild Card Round, the Los Angeles Chargers are officially in offseason mode. Like every offseason, this means roster changes are coming to the Chargers.
One change that was discussed was Khalil Mack’s potential retirement. After all, the nine-time Pro Bowl edge rusher is turning 34 on February 22, and he admitted retirement being on his mind. With his contract expiring, either way, Mack has a couple of key decisions to make this offseason, and he just made a big announcement on his future.

Khalil Mack announces decision to play in 2025, will it be with the Los Angeles Chargers
While Khalil Mack admitted he had some thinking to do after the Los Angeles Chargers’ season ended, it appears he’s had enough time to mull things over.
Early Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that the three-time All-Pro sack artist wouldn’t be retiring this offseason.
Now that we know Mack wants to play, the next step is determining which team he wants to take the field with in 2025. He’s coming off three consecutive Pro Bowl seasons with the Chargers, and a return to Los Angeles could be in the fold as he enters his 12th year in the NFL.
No matter what, expect Mack to prioritize a chance to win his first Super Bowl, and the Chargers appear to have as good of a chance as any other contender, with Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert leading the charge.
