The Los Angeles Chargers overhauled their roster this past offseason, moving on from several big names. Part of that offseason exodus included parting ways with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, largely for cap reasons.
Yet, after a 4-3 start, it appears the Chargers are no worse for the wear, but that doesn’t mean GM Joe Hortiz and coach Jim Harbaugh are thrilled with everyone on the roster.

Los Angeles Chargers ‘looking to replace’ Joshua Palmer
One of the remaining holdovers from last season’s roster is wide receiver Joshua Palmer. The Los Angeles Chargers selected Palmer in the third round, as the 77th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, hoping the Tennessee product could develop into a starting receiver.
Yet, now that the 25-year-old is in his fourth season, it’s becoming increasingly clear that he’s not ready to turn the corner. Although he’s averaged 67.5 receiving yards over the past two games, Palmer has just 243 yards and zero touchdowns this season. Now, he’s being mentioned as one of the Chargers players most likely to be traded ahead of the NFL’s Nov. 5 deadline.
Perhaps Palmer’s exit hinges on whether the Chargers can find another receiver who they feel is capable of either offering better production right away, or someone who they feel has a higher ceiling. Either way, it appears Palmer’s days with Harbaugh’s Bolts are numbered.
