Ranking the Worst QBs on the Los Angeles Chargers 2024 Schedule

As the Los Angeles Chargers gear up for the 2024 NFL season, they will face a variety of quarterbacks, some of whom may provide favorable matchups for their defense. Here’s a look at some of the less formidable quarterbacks on their schedule:

Los Angeles Chargers Worst Quarterback Matchups

1. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have a quarterback competition between Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew. O’Connell, a young and relatively inexperienced quarterback, will likely face challenges against the Chargers strong edge rushers. His lack of NFL experience makes him a prime target for defensive exploitation. If the Raiders turn to Gardener Minshew, however, he’s a much more knowledgeable veteran with a generous upside.

2. Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young, had a difficult rookie season, to say the least. His struggles under pressure and the overall lack of offensive support have hindered his development. Young’s inexperience and the Panthers’ offensive issues present a significant opportunity for the Chargers’ defense to dominate.

3. Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson has not performed up to expectations since joining the Browns, dealing with both suspensions and injuries. His inconsistent play and diminished performance provide a weaker matchup for the Chargers. Watson’s decline makes him one of the less threatening quarterbacks the Chargers will face this season. The Browns present a much bigger challenge on defense than on offense.

4. Tennessee Titans

Will Levis, now the starter for the Titans, is another young quarterback with much to prove. Known for his aggressive style, Levis’ inexperience can lead to turnovers, making him a favorable opponent for the Chargers.

5. New England Patriots

The Patriots have turned to rookie Drake Maye, who, despite his potential, will likely experience the growing pains typical of a first-year quarterback in the NFL. His inexperience and the Patriots’ rebuilding phase make this a favorable matchup for the defense.
