The NBA has announced several changes to the schedule due to LA wildfires resulting in the Los Angeles Clippers and LA Lakers games being postponed recently.
In addition to the postponements of two games due to the Los Angeles wildfires and the Atlanta Hawks-Houston Rockets game due to inclement weather, the NBA has adjusted the schedules of six other games to ensure that all teams complete their 82-game schedule with adequate rest periods.
New Dates Announced For Postponed Clippers Games
Clippers are experiencing the most significant schedule adjustments, with their game against the Charlotte Hornets, originally scheduled for January 11th, being rescheduled for March 16th.
To accommodate this change, the Clippers’ matchup against the Washington Wizards has been moved to January 23rd.
Further schedule adjustments have been made to accommodate the previously postponed games. The Clippers’ matchup against the Utah Jazz, originally scheduled for March 19th, has been moved to February 13th, prior to the All-Star break.

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have had a significant impact on both Los Angeles-based basketball teams.
Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was forced to leave the team to support his family affected by the fires, while Lakers head coach JJ Redick tragically lost his home in the blaze.
In response to these events, Anthony Davis has taken the initiative to work with the Lakers organization to honor the first responders who have bravely battled the wildfires. The team plans to invite these heroes to an upcoming game as a gesture of appreciation for their tireless efforts.
