The Los Angeles Clippers came into last night’s game against Utah having lost three straight and two of three at home. You can tell this team was rested and focused on getting back on the winning side.
They led by as many as 42 in a game they never trailed.
Yes, superstar James Harden started the game feeling it and on pace for another epic night after outscoring the entire Utah team 24-20 in the 1st quarter, and finishing with 41 points and six assists.
But the other storyline was the 7-foot big man from Croatia, Ivica Zubac, who is in his ninth season and has spent his entire career in the LA market after being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2016 in the second round (#32 overall) before being traded to the Clippers during the 2018-19 season.

Zubac is having his best season thus far as a pro, averaging a double-double, by being a shade under 15 points (14.9) and 12.2 rebounds.
Last night during the 1st quarter with just over four minutes left, his dunk put him at 5,000 career points. He has played a major role in the Clippers start to this season, and he will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, especially being that LA locked him up during the summer when he signed a three-year, $58.6 million extension.

The 27-year-old center has been huge for LA in years past, but this season he has really shown his value.
