Any game in Los Angeles has no shortage of celebrity sightings, and this was especially true for the Los Angeles Dodgers during Game 2 of the World Series.
To kick off the game, LA Legend, Ice Cube brought the house down with a hommage to the City of Angels and the Boys in Blue.
Of course, he had some nice jabs at the Yankees directly, as well.
He started with the iconic, “Bow down, when we come to your town, Bow down, when I’m westward bound, Bow down, ‘cause I ain’t a hater like you, Bow down to a team that’s greater than you,” voiced Cube emphatically at the Yankees dugout.
He followed this by absolutely blowing the figurative roof off.
“Messed around and then I hit a double; freakin’ Yankees every way, like Kobe,” bellowed Cube from the 1993 classic “It Was a Good Day.”
A truly iconic performance from an absolute LA legend.
New York Yankees Countered Ice Cube With…Fat Joe???

Now, with the series going back to New York at the “House that Ruth Built,” the Yankees had an opportunity to counter this performance with a legend of their own.
Instead, they sent out Fat Joe who gave a performance that turned into an internet meme.
No disrespect to Fat Joe, who has certainly dropped some hits during a very successful career, but this was a Single A performance when Ice Cube has been dropping bars from the Big Leagues for decades.
Even Hall of Famer Big Papi questioned the performance and how it seemed to lull the fans and team to sleep.
“What’s going on here? Are we in a funeral already?”
With all of the musical icons that call New York home, it just makes you wonder what Nas, 50 Cent, or Jay-Z were up to.
