San Diego Padres Employ Petty Tactics to Keep Los Angeles Dodgers Fans Out of Petco Park

The Los Angeles Dodgers had to wait a bit longer, but they finally know who they’ll be facing in the National League Divisional Playoffs. After sweeping the Atlanta Braves, the San Diego Padres will begin a best-of-five series against the Dodgers, starting on Saturday.

Thanks to boasting the best record in the NL, Los Angeles has the benefit of home-field advantage, so the series starts off with two games at Dodger Stadium. But for those who aren’t afraid to hit the road for a Dodgers game, they’ll head to San Diego for a Tuesday night Game 3 matchup at Petco Park. Yet, getting tickets may not be as easy as you think.

If you’re a local Los Angeles Dodgers fan looking to hit the road to take in an away game at Petco Park, you might have some hurdles to jump through. Especially if you’re a Los Angeles native looking to buy a ticket online.

According to some outlets, online ticket providers are preventing Los Angeles natives from purchasing Dodgers-Padres tickets at Petco Park for Games 3 and 4.

That’s an interesting tactic. We’re curious to see how it works out for them, but when fanatics want something bad enough, they’ll find a loophole.

As much as the Padres may not want any Dodgers fans to make the trip to Petco Park, there will inevitably be plenty of blue jerseys in the stands despite San Diego’s best efforts.
