The New York Yankees are in desperation mode as the Los Angeles Dodgers hold a commanding 3-0 World Series lead. Apparently, this desperation is being felt by the fans as well.

In the bottom of the 1st inning, down 2-0 already after another historic home run from Freddie Freeman, a fan tried to assist in saving an out for the Yankees.

Dodgers right fielder, Mookie Betts, was able to snag a ball that was going foul to get an out, but the fan had other ideas.

Yankees Fan Does What Against Dodgers?

I have seen fan interference before, we all have, but this was an all-timer. Not only did he grab the Glove of Betts and try and pry the ball out of the grasp of his glove, but then his buddy grabbed the free hand of Betts and held that down.

The word “fan” stands for “fanatic” and this was certainly one of the more fanatical things that has happened in recent memory.

In the end, it will turn into a funny meme, but did not affect the game as the runner was called out and we were all able to carry on with the game.

As of this writing, the Los Angeles Dodgers are losing to the New York Yankees 5-2 in the top of the 4th inning.
