What else can’t LeBron James do? On Thursday’s night win against the Sacramento Kings, 113-100, James took the cake celebrating another legendary milestone.

By spending a minimum of nine minutes on the court, the Los Angeles Lakers star achieved the milestone of becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in minutes played, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record 57,446. The only other player to come close to Abdul-Jabbar’s record is Chris Paul who is still active with 44,050.

LeBron James finished out the game with 57,441 total minutes played (career), 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists on the night.

Just more than a year ago, James also broke Abdul-Jabbar’s record for most points scored, becoming the first player to ever reach 40,000 points.

What’s more impressive than the record itself is the respect and admiration James has earned from those around him. After the game, his teammates and coaches shared their thoughts on the historic moment.

“Coach came in, congratulated me. My teammates said, ‘F–k off,'” James told reporters after the game. “Told me I’m old as hell and all that. But like I said, it’s a pretty cool honor anytime I’m linked with any of the greats that have played this game.”

As James said himself, sharing any record with the greats is an honor, especially when it’s someone as great as Abdul-Jabbar was at basketball.

Fortunately for James, he has the opportunity to break another of Abdul-Jabbar’s. James is closing in on his record of most all-time field goals, Abdul-Jabbar retired with 15,837, while James entered Thursday sitting at 15,045.

Having already surpassed Abdul-Jabbar in minutes played and points, James shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to chase down history, breaking whatever record stands in his way.
