The Los Angeles Lakers are often high on the list of preferred destinations for all distinctions of NBA players. That holds true for three-time All-Star shooting guard, Bradley Beal, who was recently benched by the Phoenix Suns.

Despite boasting a roster featuring Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, two of the most talented players in the NBA, the Suns have experienced a significant downturn, losing seven of their last eight games. This underwhelming performance raises questions about the team’s ability to effectively leverage the talents of its star players.

Bradley Beal To Waive Trade Clause To Land With Lakers

The 31-year-old, who has a no-trade clause built into his contract, has already rejected a trade to the Milwaukee Bucks before ending up with his current team has now reportedly leaked three teams he would accept a trade to; Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and the Lakers.

John Gambadoro, who reported his preferences also believes “there are a few others that he could ultimately decide work for him.”

Beal, who is averaging 17.8 points per game on 39.2% three-point shooting this season, would undoubtedly provide a significant offensive boost to the Lakers, particularly in terms of shot creation from anyone other than LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, his substantial contract, with $160 million remaining, presents a significant financial hurdle.

While Beal may want LA, the latest reporting places them in a holding pattern while their roster gets back to full health and they assess new additions Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton.

While a shot-creating guard has been high on their list, LA seems to be prioritizing finding a backup center.
