Los Angeles Rams Meeting With All-Pro Cornerback In NFL Free Agency

Seeking not only to get back to the playoffs but to get further than the Wild Card round this time around, the Los Angeles Rams have been busy making improvements to the roster. General manager Les Snead has made a few key additions, such as signing guard Jonah Jackson and tight end Colby Parkinson on offense. On defense, he’s added safety Kamren Curl and cornerback Darious Williams.

Now, defensive coordinator Chris Shula could be getting another key piece to his defense in 2024.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, former Bills All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White has a visit scheduled with the Rams later this week. White has spent all seven seasons of his NFL career with the Bills since becoming the 27th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

But after facing cap constraints, much like the Chargers have, the Bills had to cut their two-time Pro Bowl cornerback loose. Now, the 29-year-old is seeking a new team, and the Rams could be the perfect fit. It should also be noted that White is coming off a torn Achilles injury, which limited him to just four games in 2023. Still, when healthy, he’s a proven playmaker.

If signed, White would likely slot in as a new starter next to the recently signed Darious Williams and third-year pro Cobie Durant. And more additions could come via the draft.

However, Garafolo notes that the Rams aren’t the only team interested. They’re also competing with the Las Vegas Raiders, along with a few other unnamed teams. But only the Raiders and Rams have visits set up with White thus far.
