Though he’s not one to complain, Matthew Stafford hasn’t had his star receivers for the past two games. Actually, Puka Nacua hasn’t played since Week 1. Cooper Kupp was active for the Rams’ Week 2 loss against Arizona, but he injured his ankle near the end of the first half and hasn’t played since.
Last week, we learned that Nacua would be out for another month, so probably another three weeks or so. But now we have a new update on Kupp’s injury status ahead of the Rams’ Week 5 matchup.

Cooper Kupp expected to return to Los Angeles Rams in Week 7

On Sunday, just hours before the Los Angeles Rams were set to host the Green Bay Packers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided the latest Cooper Kupp injury update. According to Schefter, Kupp is expected to return in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Rams are planning for WR Cooper Kupp — who will miss his third game in a row Sunday due to a high ankle sprain — to return after their bye next week in time for their Oct. 20 home game vs. the Raiders as long as there are no setbacks in practice, per sources. pic.twitter.com/JkoohnAd6c

With the Rams on a bye in Week 6, this gives Kupp two more weeks of recovery time before testing his ankle in a live game again.
Kupp has been targeted 27 times this season, hauling in 18 receptions for 147 yards and a touchdown. While his absence has opened up more opportunities for others, such as Tutu Atwell, the the Rams are eager to get their All-Pro playmaker back in the lineup.
