Initial Los Angeles Rams Injury Report Spells Optimism For Key Player

The Los Angeles Rams still have a few days to heal up before their NFL Divisional Round matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

During a dominant performance over the Minnesota Vikings in the Wildcard Round, two key starters left the game due to injury.

Akhello Witherspoon left the game with a thigh injury and did not return, however, his injury was not deemed too serious and he was kept out more as a precaution with the Rams leading by a wide margin.

Tyler Higbee, however, left with a chest injury and was taken to the hospital for observation after he was spitting up blood on the sideline. Obviously, it was a scary situation, but McVay sounded optimistic after the game that Higbee would recover just fine.

With the initial injury dropping today, it seems that is the case.

Wednesday Los Angeles Rams Injury Report

The Los Angeles Rams did not practice today, but still released an injury report with a participation estimation.

Witherspoon was listed as a “Did Not Practice”, so we will certainly want to monitor his status as the week progresses.

Bobby Brown III and Alaric Jackson were also listed as “Did Not Practice.” I do not expect either of these players to be at risk of missing the game, but we will keep you updated.

Miraculously, Higbee was listed as a limited participant, foreshadowing that he will be available for Sunday’s contest.

Even after leaving the contest, Higbee still finished as the leading receiver. It was clear what he brought to the offense, and he will be an integral piece if the Rams hope to continue their quest for a Super Bowl.
