Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback, Matthew Stafford is not shy about sharing getting vulnerable on her podcast, The Morning After. She has shared everything from the NFL’s COVID-19 policies, Harrison Butker’s views on women, using other men to make her then-boyfriend jealous, and most recently her displeasure with the coverage of the relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce and international superstar, Taylor Swift.
If you are behind on her various public points of interest, here is a fairly comprehensive primer.
On a recent episode of her podcast, Kelly Stafford admitted that she was jealous of the coverage Swift and Kelce have received since the two started a courtship last year. Although, Kelly made it clear that it wasn’t the 14-time Grammy winner she was jealous of, just the attention the two were getting.
“I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it, actually the NFL’s coverage, of this budding relationship last year,” Stafford said. “And can she do anything about that? No, she can’t.”
Kelly continued”..but I almost felt like it was outshining the games. And that’s what bothered me. I was a little jealous of the fact that they were getting all this attention and all of a sudden the football game was the sideshow. So yeah, maybe I let jealousy get the best of me.”
Matthew Stafford Dresses As Travis Kelce for Halloween
Stafford then took the story to a new level, by incorporating the couple into her Halloween plans, in the form of dressing up like Swift, while her husband dressed as Kelce. The inspiration for their costume was Swift and Kelce’s outfits they wore during their outing to the US Open tennis tournament held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.
The Stafford’s four daughters were also dressed in various replications of Swift’s tour outfits.
Was this an homage, an attempt to poke fun at themselves, or trying to attract some of that media attention that sparked jealousy? Well, assuming any of those would be gossip, but it sure made the story weirder.
