The biggest victory for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, may not be the win over the New England Patriots, but in staving off further injuries.
It was reported by Rams staff writer Stu Jackson that head coach Sean McVay said that the team didn’t add any new injuries from the game.
No New Injuries For Rams Heading Into Eagles Game
The Rams season has been defined by who hasn’t been on the field almost as much as who is. They have gone stretches without many starters from both sides of the ball. They started the year with cornerback Darious Williams missing the first four games and safety John Johnson has been on the injured reserve for the last nine weeks. Wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua recently made their comebacks, as well as, starting offensive linemen Jonah Jackson and Steve Avila.
Fellow offensive lineman Rob Havenstein has missed the last two weeks, but Jackson also reported that he is ‘trending in the right direction and there is a possibility he will play in Week 12 versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Patriots game wasn’t without its injury scares though. Nacua had to be taken to the blue injury tent partway through the game after falling awkwardly after a catch. But he returned to the field shortly after.
Based on these reports, it may be the first time this season that all of the Rams’ intended starters will take the field together. Byron Young was the only other starter on the injury report last week. He was limited in practice, and was listed as questionable, but was able to play his usual snap count.
