At one point, the Los Angeles Rams season was nearly derailed by the scope and scale of injuries they suffered. While they still have a few missing pieces on the injured reserve, they are now one of the healthiest teams in the league. This was confirmed by the latest injury report.
Every member of the active roster will be a full go against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Rams Injury Report Breakdown
Two of the biggest pieces that were in question were wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, who suffered a shoulder injury against the Buffalo Bills, and tight end Tyler Higbee. Higbee has been out since tearing both his MCL and ACL in the Rams playoff loss to the Detroit Lions on January 14th of this year.
Both will be active for Sunday’s game.
Robinson has become an integral part of the Rams offense, since joining the team last season. So far this year he has caught 28 passes, 24 of which have gone for first downs, for 433 yards. His seven touchdown receptions lead the team. While he has been active and on the field, Robinson has had two targets over the last two games. His inclusion in this week’s game plan will be something to monitor.
It is unclear what Higbee will look like after suffering a devastating injury. But in the past, he has served as a release valve for Rams quarterbacks in high-leverage situations, like 3rd downs and in the red zone — success in both areas has been sorely lacking for this team.
Cornerback Cobie Durant will also make his return to the lineup after missing one game with a lung contusion.
Rookie wide receiver Jordan Whittington and tight end Davis Allen were also listed on the week’s injury report, but they were full participants all week and are cleared to play as well.
Whittington was on the injury report last week with the same injury, and was listed as questionable, but was able to play against the 49ers. Whittington has been dealing with a shoulder injury since Week 6’s bye and missed three games as a result
Allen’s injury has also lingered for the last several weeks.
