The Los Angeles Rams have struggled offensively since they lost their top two offensive weapons. While Puka Nacua is still several weeks away from making his return, there is good news on Cooper Kupp.
In his press conference on Monday, head coach Sean McVay said that Kupp had a ‘big day’ ahead of him working with trainers to determine if he could practice this week. The All-Pro receiver will go through “game-like movements” while running routes.
Cooper Kupp had a Positive Workout Today
“He’s feeling good, he’s feeling optimistic,” McVay said. “but he’s also very aware of what that looks like to be ready to roll and to maybe not quite be there yet. So today will be a big day.”
By the evening Adam Schefter’s sources said that his big day with trainers went well.
“Cooper Kupp, attempting to return from a high-ankle sprain, had a positive workout today and his return this week is at least possible, sources say.” Schefter posted on X.com. “The next step is to see when he practices and how it goes. The team will gather more info, but today presented good news.”
Kupp has been out of the lineup dealing with a high ankle sprain suffered mid-way through the Rams Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The first injury report will be released on Wednesday. Kupp has not practiced since before the Cardinals game. In one and a half games Kupp was targeted 27 times and caught 18 of those for 147 yards and a touchdown.
