3 Rams Players Who Could Be Traded Before Deadline

Now that the Los Angeles Rams are on a run of sorts, calls for a Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford trade have died down. But that doesn’t mean they won’t be on the phone looking to move on from other assets as they attempt to make a run to the playoffs.

With the standing set as they currently are, many teams will be clamoring for players on the Rams roster.

3 Rams Who Could Be On The Move Before The Trade Deadline

The Rams gave Tre’Davious White their permission to seek a trade partner a week ago. Since Darious Williams returned to the lineup White has been a healthy scratch, so he is essentially just taking up space on the roster until he is cut or traded.

And why not press the issue and get something back rather than just cutting the guy? The Rams won’t likely get much for the veteran and recently injured player, but the Rams have a way of finding talent with late-round draft picks.

Both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Buffalo Bills have suffered several injuries to their secondaries. The Bills make a lot of sense, as White was rostered there for his entire career, minus this season.

The Rams should be looking to add at this position, but trading Hunter Long would aid them in that process by creating a roster spot and netting the team another day-three draft pick.

He has yet to prove to be a quality pass catcher or a force in the blocking game.

Long will likely be cut once Tyler Higbee makes his return to the field. Similarly to White, it would be better to add a draft pick than simply cut him.

We have reached the conclusion of the Tutu Atwell experiment. Either he can’t do what the Rams want him to do, Sean McVay doesn’t know what to do with Atwell’s skill set or teams know exactly how to defend the 5 foot 8, 150-pound receiver with 4.39 speed.

With the emergence of Demarcus Robinson and rookie sixth-rounder Jordan Whittington, Atwell is struggling to get playing time when the corps is fully healthy.

And in addition to that, Atwell is in the final year of his rookie contract. It seems unlikely that the Rams will re-sign him after this season.
