The Los Angeles Rams‘ playoff push has encountered a potential roadblock with the emergence of a shoulder injury for right tackle Rob Havenstein. While the team has enjoyed a four-game winning streak, their offensive line, plagued by injuries earlier in the season, faces a potential setback.
Rob Havenstien Ruled OUT in Los Angeles Rams vs Arizona Cardinals
Havenstein, who missed the season opener due to an ankle injury and later missed three games in November due to another ankle issue, did not practice on Thursday. While this is not uncommon for him, given his typical rest days, the shoulder injury raises concerns about his availability for Saturday’s crucial matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Now it has been announced that Havenstein will be inactive for the important game against the Cardinals.
A victory over the Cardinals, combined with a loss or tie by the Seattle Seahawks, would clinch the NFC West for the Rams. However, the absence of Havenstein would significantly impact their offensive line and could potentially derail their playoff aspirations. Joe Noteboom is expected to fill in as the starting right tackle if Havenstein is unable to play.
Noteboom has played in two games this season. Over his 97 snaps played, Noteboom has allowed nine pressures and two sacks.
