Breaking: Rams Starter Unexpectedly Inactive Ahead of Packers Game

The Los Angeles Rams have been decimated by injuries. So there are plenty of starters expected to miss their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers.

But just an hour before the game they released their list of inactives with a surprising name on it. Tre’Davious White won’t play this week and it is reported that he is a healthy scratch.

Ahead of this game, White had played nearly every defensive snap for the Rams. This comes just days after the team activated cornerbacks Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon.

The team signed White this offseason after he missed most of two years after suffering a torn ACL and then a torn Achilles. This led many to question if he would return to his All-Pro form.

Through four games, White has struggled. He has allowed nine catches on 13 targets, allowing 151 yards. He is credited with allowing a passer rating of 147.8 and four touchdowns.

The Rams’ defense on the whole has struggled, allowing the second most yards and points per game. The passing defense has been the better of the two phases, allowing 220 yards per game, 21st in the NFL.

It has been confirmed that Darious Williams will play in this game. It is unclear if Witherspoon will see increased playing time. After being signed by the team on September 11th, he has played just eight defensive snaps.
