With Tyler Higbee on the PUP list as he recovers from his torn ACL, the Rams’ offense is adjusting to his absence during training camp. Higbee’s placement on the PUP list, confirmed by head coach Sean McVay, means he is unable to participate in practices, leaving a significant gap in the tight end position.

Notably, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen both caught a TD on the first day of practice.

In yesterday’s practice, Hunter Long and Davis Allen took the reps with the first team when they were in 12 personnel. Allen caught a touchdown pass, showcasing his potential to step up. Allen, in his second year, finished last season with 10 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Stafford particularly mentioned Allen’s development in his post-practice press conference.

The Rams also have Colby Parkinson and some other UDFA’s on the roster so it’ll be interesting to see how the battle for TE1 shakes up in these next weeks of camp.
