2 ESPN NFL Experts Predict Los Angeles Rams In Super Bowl LIX

ESPN collected answers from 11 of its NFL experts to pick who will go to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. Both Field Yates and Jeremy Fowler picked the Los Angeles Rams to make the big game in 2025. However, neither predicts that the Rams will win the final game. Yates has the Rams falling to the Kansas City Chiefs for an unprecedented 3-peat. Fowler has the Buffalo Bills beating them.

Five experts picked the Detroit Lions to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Three picked the Green Bay Packers and one picked the 49ers to return. Four experts picked an NFC team to win the Super Bowl.

Optimism Abounds In LA

The 2023 Los Angeles Rams shocked the football world, not only by winning 10 games but by also making the playoffs and pushing the Detroit Lions to the brink in a one-point Wild-Card round loss, 20-21.

Sean McVay’s offense and Mathew Stafford looked rejuvenated with the complementary running attack spearheaded by Kyren Williams and phenomenal offensive line play. The Rams also had one of the best draft classes last season, finding Puka Nacua in the 5th round and nailing their first three picks, Steve Avila, Byron Young, and Kobie Turner. The Ram’s defense overperformed expectations behind a murder’s row of coaching talent.

The coaching staff is the biggest question. On the defensive side alone the Rams have lost defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, defensive line coach, Eric Henderson, and Assistant head coach, Jimmy Lake. Morris took Lake and former passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson to assist him in Atlanta.

That said, the Rams are currently $27.7 million under the cap and have the 19th pick in the upcoming draft in addition to nine more picks. There also hasn’t been a whiff of news about retirements from McVay, Stafford, or Aaron Donald.

Los Angeles Rams Current Super Bowl Odds

While optimism abounds, Vegas has a more tempered expectation for the Los Angeles Rams. They are currently tied for 13th in the odds of winning the Super Bowl at +3000, per BetMGM. They are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets and they have the 6th highest odds among NFC teams.
