The Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing for their Opening Day matchup with the Detroit Tigers, but the front office is remaining active to improve the roster the best they can.
After a slew of injuries to start the season, the Dodgers have acquired pitcher Noah Davis from the Boston Red Sox for cash considerations. Davis spent the last three seasons with the Colorado Rockies and made nine appearances last year, giving up 13 runs in 20 and a third innings. He added 15 strikeouts.

Los Angeles Dodgers Acquire Pitcher Noah Davis
In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred pitcher Emmet Sheehan to the 60-day injured list. Davis will head to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
During his three seasons with the Rockies, he went 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA in 18 games. During this offseason, he pitched in four Spring League games with the Red Sox, where he struck nine batters in nine and a third innings.
Davis will provide some pitching depth, if necessary, while many in the bullpen, including Sheehan, get healthy.
First pitch today against the Tigers is scheduled for 4 PM PT.
