The Los Angeles Dodgers have been tested early in the season when it comes to the injury department.
Back on April 7, starting pitcher Blake Snell was placed on the 15-day injury list with shoulder inflammation. Snell and the Dodgers provided a very encouraging update today, and his return should be drawing near.
Los Angeles Dodgers Provide Injury Update For Blake Snell

According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, Blake Snell completed his first bullpen session since landing on the IL.
Snell said he feels “way better” throwing than before, and reiterated that he will need at least another bullpen and a simulated game before there’s a conversation about being activated.
While the update is certainly encouraging, it sounds like he may still be a bit away from jumping back into the rotation. He is just a few days away from having the opportunity to be activated, but the Dodgers will not rush it.

The Dodgers have struggled to find any consistency with the 5th starting spot since Snell went on the IL. Bobby Miller made his debut a few nights ago, but only made it through 3 innings against the Rockies and was sent back down to Triple-A afterwards.
Landon Knack struggled in his time on the mound, and he was optioned to make room for Miller. If Snell is unable to go before his next scheduled start, we will see if the Dodgers call Miller or Knack back up, or go with a potential bullpen day.
