After getting routed by the Chicago Cubs on Saturday Night 16-0, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to rebound this evening at 4:10 PM.
Unfortunately, they will have to do it without star first baseman Freddie Freeman.
Los Angeles Dodgers First Baseman Freddie Freeman Held Out Of Starting Lineup
The lineup card for the Dodgers game today at Dodger Stadium was just released, and Freeman will not be playing today.
Here is the lineup for today’s game:
- Shohei Ohtani, DH
- Mookie Betts, SS
- Tommy Edman, CF
- Teoscar Hernández, RF
- Michael Conforto, LF
- Will Smith, C
- Max Muncy, 3B
- Enrique Hernández, 1B
- Miguel Rojas, 2B
- Tyler Glasnow, SP
Freeman was just on the 10-day IL after spraining his ankle stepping into his shower at home. He did just return and played on Friday and Saturday. It is unclear why he is being held out for the finale today, but we have to speculate that it could be related to his ankle flaring up and just needing another day of rest.

Andy Pages is also not in the lineup as Edman will move to center field, and Miguel Rojas will get the start at second base. Pages is batting .149 this season and is 0-6 in this series against the Cubs.
First pitch is set for 4:10 PM, and Tyler Glasnow will look to get the Dodgers back on track and move his record to 2-0.
