While the Los Angeles Dodgers began their 2025 season already in the Tokyo Series, winning both matchups against the Chicago Cubs, today marks the official Opening Day for all of Baseball.
The Dodgers will open at home in Dodger Stadium against the Detroit Tigers. Their quest for a repeat World Series title begins now.
The team released their 26-man roster for the game and the starting lineup. Mookie Betts is on the roster, will he be in the starting lineup?
Los Angeles Dodgers Opening Day Starting Lineup
- DH – Shohei Ohtani
- SS – Mookie Betts
- RF – Teoscar Hernández
- 1B – Freddie Freeman
- CF – Tommy Edman
- C – Will Smith
- 3B – Max Muncy
- 2B – Miguel Rojas
- LF – Andy Pages
- LHP – Blake Snell
No real surprises here, other than Rojas getting the start at second base, while Edman will play in center field, as was the plan all offseason once the Dodgers signed Hyeseong Kim.
Once Kim was optioned, Edman moved back to the infield for the Tokyo Series, but now he is back in the outfield.
