The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller, just one day after his first Major League start of the season.
Miller’s brief outing on Wednesday saw him allow six earned runs in three innings, including a grand slam and a home run, against the Colorado Rockies. Despite Miller’s struggles, the team managed to complete a sweep of the series with an 8-7 victory.
This comes just days after they optioned Landon Knack after his rough innings against the Rockies.
Los Angeles Dodgers Option Bobby Miller After Disappointing Start

With Blake Snell on the injured list and the Dodgers utilizing a six-man rotation, the team turned to Miller to start the series finale at Dodger Stadium. Miller came to Los Angeles with a 2.25 ERA across three appearances in Triple-A this season.
The Dodgers had hoped Miller could replicate his performance from his rookie year, where he posted a 3.76 ERA with 119 strikeouts in 124.1 innings pitched. However, Miller’s recent outing mirrored his struggles from the 2024 season.
Miller recorded an 8.52 ERA in 56 innings pitched last season, which resulted in him losing his spot in the starting rotation. He entered spring training as one of three pitchers competing for the final rotation spot but was sidelined early after being struck by a comebacker in the Dodgers’ Cactus League opener.
The Dodgers provided Miller with an opportunity to rebound, but the right-hander delivered another disappointing performance, leading to his demotion.
