Los Angeles Dodgers Improve Bullpen With Latest Roster Move

While the Los Angeles Dodgers swept the hapless Colorado Rockies, there was still plenty of cause for concern, as the series probably would not have gone in their favor had they not been playing a lifeless, laughable franchise.

The pitching is still very inconsistent, and while injuries are the major blame for this, the depth is a concern.

Bobby Miller made his debut on Wednesday evening, and it will be one that he hopes to forget. The Dodgers ultimately won 8-7, but with a 7-1 lead after the 1st inning, Miller left the game following the 3rd after relinquishing five more runs.

The Dodgers decided to option Miller back to the Minors yesterday to give him more reps.

In a corresponding move today, the Dodgers have called up right-hander Noah Davis to bolster the bullpen.

The Dodgers acquired Davis from the Boston Red Sox just ahead of Opening Day in exchange for cash.

Davis made his Major League debut with the Colorado Rockies in 2022. In 3 seasons with the Rockies, Davis had a 7.71 ERA with 43 strikeouts and 23 walks.

During Spring Training with the Red Sox, Davis garnered a 4.82 ERA.

He now has the opportunity to join one of the best bullpens in baseball. We will see if he can find his footing and gain some traction in the league.

The Dodgers play the Texas Rangers tonight at 5:05 PM in Arlington.
