The Los Angeles Dodgers play across the Country today as they take on the Philadelphia Phillies at 3:45 PT.
Freddie Freeman was placed on the injured list yesterday, so we knew that he would be out, but the starting lineup for today has one surprising omission.
Los Angeles Dodgers Starting Lineup – 4/4
Here is the Dodgers starting lineup for today:
- Shohei Ohtani – DH
- Mookie Betts – SS
- Tommy Edman – 2B
- Teoscar Hernández – RF
- Will Smith – C
- Enrique Hernández – 1B
- Michael Conforto – LF
- Miguel Rojas – 3B
- Andy Pages – CF
- Yoshinobu Yamamoto – SP
Hernández will fill in at first base again for the injured Freeman, but surprisingly, starting third baseman Max Muncy was left off of the lineup card.
On the mound tonight for the Phillies is left-hander Jesus Luzardo, so that could be the reason for the rotation. The Dodgers have plenty of depth, so a rotation early in the season is good to keep everyone fresh.
Miguel Rojas could use some quality at-bats to keep him ready if anything were to happen to any of the starting infielders.
