Los Angeles Lakers Very Concerning Injury Report For Pivotal Game Against Denver Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers are traveling to Denver to face the Nuggets tonight on a back-to-back after a tough loss at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks last night 126-106.

Luka Doncic put up a double-double, scoring 45 and grabbing 11 boards, but it wasn’t enough to push the shorthanded Lakers to a victory. Tonight, they will be even more shorthanded, as the latest injury report is quite concerning.

The Lakers’ injury report is as follows:

  • Trey Jemison III (illness) is QUESTIONABLE
  • Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle management) is DOUBTFUL
  • Gave Vincent (left knee management) is DOUBTFUL
  • Luka Doncic (left calf injury management and right ankle sprain) is OUT
  • LeBron James (left groin strain) is OUT
  • Rui Hachimura (left patellar tendinopathy) is OUT
  • Jaxson Hayes (right knee contusion) is OUT
  • Maxi Kleber (right foot surgery recovery) is OUT

With Doncic, James, Hachimura, and Hayes all out, that leaves Austin Reeves as the lone starter available. He will likely play alongside Dalton Knecht in the backcourt.

The frontcourt will likely be Jordan Goodwin and Jarred Vanderbilt in the forward spots and Trey Jemison III at center if he can go, but if not, Alex Len could get the start. Expect a lot of minutes for these 5 as well since the team will have very little depth.

The Nuggets will be looking for revenge after dropping their last game against the Lakers back on February 22. Based on this injury report, they should have no problem achieving that.

With the Lakers losing their last 3 games, the Nuggets are now one game ahead of them for the 3rd seed in the West. So, unfortunately for LA, this is a pretty significant game to have four starters out.
