Former USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams may have been the number one overall pick, and the most anticipated rookie to debut in the NFL over the weekend, but his performance did not garner high praise, even though he did manufacture a win. His PFF grade was relatively low, coming in at 49.1.
It was actually another former Trojan, now Projan, that shone the brightest. In fact, he garnered the highest PFF grade out of any rookie.
Former USC Trojans Safety, Calen Bullock, Highest PFF Grade
A third-round pick, Calen Bullock led all rookies with an astounding 82.3 PFF grade. He finished with 25 total snaps and secured his first interception as a Pro.
Once touted as a potential first-round pick, Bullock fell victim to Alex Grinch’s system at USC last season, which unfortunately hurt his draft stock.

It seems, however, that he has rebounded quickly and is already pushing to be the full-time starter in Houston.
