Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans are doing everything they can to ensure that they have the best football program in the country in every facet.
They built arguably the best front office in all of college football, headlined by GM Chad Bowden. They have one of the premier coaching and recruiting staffs with talent across the college and NFL levels. They are about one year away from finishing their state-of-the-art sports facility that will be one of, if not the best, in all of college athletics.
Now, they are adding another piece in an unprecedented hire that will be the first ever for the USC Trojans.
USC Trojans Make Another Bold Hire
According to FootballScoop.com, Lincoln Riley and Chad Bowden are hiring Conor McQuiston to be their first ever Director of Analytics.
Unbelievably proud to announce that starting next week I will be the Director of Football Analytics for USC! Excited for this opportunity to join Chad, Coach Riley, and such a phenomenal program! #FightOn https://t.co/tcOAuvmeoX pic.twitter.com/tOutjqxXtX

McQuiston said of the hire on social media, “Unbelievably proud to announce that starting next week I will be the Director of Football Analytics for USC! Excited for this opportunity to join Chad, Coach Riley, and such a phenomenal program! #FightOn”
Before joining the Trojans, McQuiston has worked for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL, Pro Football Focus, Next Gen Stats, and Prize Picks.
USC has gone all in on doing whatever it takes to be a premier program, and this hire is just another example. It also exemplifies Riley’s willingness to adapt to the times and bring in whatever edge is available.
During his time at Notre Dame, Bowden aided in hiring Anthony Threash from PFF, who was given the same title of Director of Analytics. Not solely due to analytics, but Notre Dame played in the college football National Championship just last season.
