So far, through spring camp, the USC Trojans have remained relatively healthy. We still have a long way to go until fall camp and, ultimately, the first game is played, but in years past, there have been players who have suffered significant injuries in the spring, which set them back ahead of the season.
Tim Prangley of LAFB was at USC practice yesterday, taking in all the sights and sounds, and received an injury update from Lincoln Riley after practice.
Lincoln Riley Provides USC Trojans Injury Update
Thankfully, at this point, Riley confirmed that there are no injuries that would go into the fall.
The two players that we know have suffered minor injuries are wide receiver Makai Lemon and center Kilian O’Connor.
On Makai Lemon:
“Lem, he had a little bit of a hamstring right before we got started, so haven’t had him full go yet. He’s getting better, hope to have him more towards the back-half of spring,” Riley said.
On Kilian O’Connor:
“Kilian had an injury the other day at pass rush, most likely gonna keep him out the rest of spring, but not past that. We fully expect him to be ready to go for summer, and potentially an outside chance we might have him at the end of spring.”
The USC Trojans are healthy so far, which is a great sign as they prepare for a pivotal 2025 season. Riley will look to improve mightily in year 4 and make a playoff run, which will, in turn, ensure that the impressive 2026 recruiting class remains intact.
