Since the spring transfer portal window opened, the USC Trojans have been very intentional about who they have targeted and invited to visit.
They do not have glaring needs as they have in years past, but some position rooms were a bit thin, so adding some depth through the portal was in their best interest.
Before the weekend, they added former Notre Dame safety Kennedy Urlacher, and now they have added another talented defensive player, this one from the Big Ten.

A 4-star recruit, Robinson redshirted as a freshman and appeared in 14 games last season. He totaled 99 defensive snaps and registered 11 total tackles.
He is still very young and raw, but at 6’3 and 230 pounds, he is a prototypical linebacker body, and Coach Rob Ryan and Coach D’Anton Lynn can mold him into their system.
He still has three years of eligibility remaining, so while he will add depth this season, he could play himself into a starting role in the future.

Robinson was the 12th-ranked transfer portal linebacker available, according to On3, and was the 2nd-highest ranked LB still uncommitted.
He will join a linebacker room which includes:
- Eric Gentry
- Desman Stephens II
- Anthony Beavers Jr.
- Jadyn Walker
- Garrison Madden
- Ryan Quintanar
- Roman Marchetti
USC Trojans spring camp wraps up this week, but Ta’Mere Robinson will get acclimated with the team during the summer workout program.
