The fruits of the USC Trojans‘ big recruiting weekend are already bearing. On Monday it was announced that 4-star edge rusher Braeden Jones committed and just hours later safety from Greensboro Georgia, Stephen Miller, flipped his commitment from Mississippi State to USC.
“What led me to commit to USC was the education and the connections outside of football. I have a chance to be great in either way,” Miller told On3.

The 6-foot-1.5, 180-pound defensive back is the 46th-ranked safety in the nation. He had committed to MSU in June of this summer. In September USC defensive backs coach Doug Belk turned up the volume on his recruiting of Miller. USC Trojans extended him an offer in September and held an official visit during the weekend of the Penn State game. Two days later, Miller committed to the Trojans.
“The atmosphere is amazing. My visit was very big in my decision. I got a good view of the campus and a great view of the city. I loved just being in L.A. and being around a group of people that will do whatever they can to help you.”
Through six games, Miller has 14 tackles and two interceptions. As a wide receiver, he has 23 catches 296 yards, and four touchdowns.
