USC Trojans Lose Talented Depth Piece To Transfer Portal

After gaining the commitment of Penn State transfer linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson, the USC Trojans just announced that they will be losing safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr. to the transfer portal.

A member of the 2024 class, Boatwright has not recorded any playing time in his two years with the program, and the safety room has gotten extremely deep.

USC Trojans Jarvis Boatwright Jr. Hits Transfer Portal

Bishop Fitzgerald, who is seen as a starter, joined the Trojans in the winter portal window, and soon-to-be Sophomore Kennedy Urlacher just joined last week.

Here is how the current safety room looks:

  • Kamari Ramsey – starter
  • Bishop Fitzgerald – projected starter
  • Christian Pierce
  • Marquis Gallegos
  • Brandon Shepard
  • Steve Miller – 2025 freshman class
  • Kendarius Reddick – 2025 freshman class

Boatwright was a 3-star recruit out of Clearwater, Florida. With a crowded room, he can look for opportunity elsewhere, as his ceiling is still unknown.

So far in the spring portal, the USC Trojans have lost CB Maliki Crawford, K Tyler Robles, RB A’Marion Peterson, EDGE Lorenzo Cowan, and now Boatwright. They have gained S Kennedy Urlacher, and linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson.
