USC Trojans Add To Front Office And Coaching Staff With One Hire

The USC Trojans continue to add to their support staff as they have hired Joe D’Orazio as director of football strategy and assistant running backs coach, according to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.

It is interesting to see a crossover hire in both the front office and coaching staff, but it shows the synergy that is being created between both departments. Both GM Chad Bowden and his staff will work in lockstep with Lincoln Riley and the coaching staff.

D’Orazio spent last season with the Baylor Bears as a quality control coach. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator at Columbia in 2023 after spending the previous 4 seasons as their running backs coach.

He has also spent time in the NFL. From 2013-15, he was the special assistant to the Head Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. From 2016-17, he was the quality control/assistant wide receivers coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.

D’Orazio was an All-Conference center at Pennsylvania University, where he was a graduate of The Wharton School with a degree in Economics.

He will join Dre Brown, Zaire Turner, and Max Stienecker on Chad Bowden’s front office staff, and he will work directly with running backs coach Anthony Jones on the field.
