Elite 5-Star Priority Recruit Was Back On USC Trojans Campus

The USC Trojans have been hosting a bevvy of high-profile recruits to their spring practices this week, and today was no different.

2026 commits Brandon Lockhart and Tomuhini Topui have essentially moved in as they were back on campus for another visit. Clearly, building strong, long-lasting relationships is extremely important to this staff, as it should be.

Another uncommitted player was back on campus, and fans are eager to find out where he will ultimately decide to commit.

5-Star QB Ryder Lyons Back On USC Trojans Campus

I recently spoke about the Ryder Lyons situation on the USC LAFB Show and where the USC Trojans stand. While they were once the clear front runner, other schools have begun to gain ground, partially due to the recent commitment of 2026 QB Jonas Williams.

While Lyons ultimately will not be enrolling until 2027, which would create a smooth quarterback succession from Husan Longstreet, to Jonas Williams, to Lyons, ultimately, it could turn into a long waiting game.

However, Lincoln Riley has always stated that he believes in a fresh quarterback competition every year, and the starting spot is earned.

Regardless of any of this, the Trojans are still very committed to getting Lyons on the roster. Getting him on campus as much as possible is critical in making that happen.

Currently, the top schools appear to be USC, BYU, Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State, and Ole Miss.

Lyons was on campus today with high school teammate and USC commit Vlad Dyakonov.
