USC Trojans GM Chad Bowden Reveals Latest Recruiting Intel

Since being hired by the USC Trojans at the turn of the New Year, GM Chad Bowden has revitalized the program.

The USC Trojans currently hold the No. 1 ranked 2026 recruiting class, and Bowden, along with Lincoln Riley and AD Jen Cohen, has built arguably the best front office in all of College Football.

Much has been said about USC’s new commitment to recruiting California, and as Bowden puts it, walling off the State of Los Angeles, and they have put their money where their mouth is. So far, 11 of their 17 commitments are from their home state of California.

Since his opening press conference, Bowden has made a few media appearances, and today, he was a guest on Trojans Live with Jordan Moore, Shaun Cody, and Cody Kessler. While on the program, he revealed some news that will have the USC faithful fired up.

USC Trojans GM Chad Bowden Reveals More Commitments Coming

Shaun Cody asks Bowden about the importance of recruiting California and what it means to him. His response:

“I’ve said it over and over again, and I mean it, the best high school football in the Country is played in California. Now that doesn’t mean were not going to go elsewhere, but the best football is played in California, especially in Southern California, and were gonna kill it in California, as we already have, and uh, we’ve got a couple more on the way this week that I’m excited for you guys to see.”

All great stuff from Bowden, but the reveal was, “We’ve got a couple more on the way this week…” alluding to a few commitments being announced.

This is purely speculation, but since de-committing from Oregon last week, Tomuhini Topui has been heavily linked to the Trojans and was even on campus the day of his de-commitment. Could he announce a commitment to the Trojans this week?

Elite running back Deshonne Redeaux is set to announce his commitment to a school this Saturday. He has also been predicted to choose USC, so could that become a reality this week?

There have also been murmers about Mater Dei offensive lineman, and the number one prospect in California, Kodi Greene, flipping his commitment from Oregon to USC. I really do think this is picking up a lot of steam, but I don’t think it will happen this week.

4-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil is another player who is picking up traction with USC, and Coach Henderson has been hot on the recruiting trail, but he is from Florida, and seeing as Bowden was referencing Cali kids during this segment leads me to believe that they may not have a verbal from Guervil yet.

There is certainly plenty to be excited about with the USC Trojans right now. We will have the latest recruiting intel daily right here at LAFBNetwork.com and on our USC LAFB YouTube Channel.
