Flip Watch: 5-Star Ohio State Commit Sets Official Visit With USC Trojans

One of the best players in the entire 2026 recruiting class just set an official visit with the USC Trojans.

After being a surprise visitor at USC’s Junior Day a few weeks ago, 5-star WR Chris Henry has now locked in an official visit with the Trojans, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Henry is currently committed to Ohio State, but USC will continue its pursuit to flip him.

Ohio State Commit Chris Henry Sets Official Visit With USC Trojans

The number one receiver in the 2026 class set his official visit with the Trojans for June 6-8. He also set visits with Miami, Oregon, and finishes his visits with Ohio State.

Here is his full visit schedule:

  • Miami: May 30 – June 1
  • USC: June 6-8
  • Oregon: June 13-15
  • Ohio State: June 20-22

Henry attends Mater Dei in the Los Angeles area, making him a prime flip candidate for the Trojans, especially with their new emphasis on California recruiting.

There is a wrinkle, however.

The son of late NFL WR Chris Henry Sr. is originally from Ohio. He began his high school career at Cincinnati Winthrow before transferring to Mater Dei in 2024. So he has ties to Ohio State, where he is currently committed.

In 2023 he finished with 1,127 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns on 71 receptions.

With both Chad Savage and Chad Bowden now on staff, his recruiting may be handled a bit differently and more resources could be allocated towards his potential flip.

The 6’5, 195-pound receiver is the 6th-ranked player in the nation and the number one player in California.
