USC Trojans Bolster 2025 Class With Top LB Commitment

It had been trending the USC Trojans way, but on National Signing Day, the 15th-ranked linebacker in the 2025 class, AJ Tuitele, has officially committed to USC.

Tuitele, a 6’3, 205-pounder out of North Las Vegas, was originally committed to Washington State but decommitted after their head coach, Jake Dickert, left for the Wake Forest job.

He officially visited USC’s campus on the weekend of January 18.

AJ Tuitele Commits To USC Trojans

The 3-star prospect joins 4-star Matai Tagoa’i as the two linebackers in the 2025 class.

In an interview with On3, Tuitele said of his commitment:

“I just felt the family atmosphere of the whole team and the coaching staff when I went on my visit. That was a big part of my commitment. They’re already giving me ideas on my development in college, so that was a factor too. Another reason I committed to USC was that they have a great game plan for me when I get developed.”

For the old-school college football fan, this should be music to your ears, all about family and development. USC has built one of the best defensive staffs in the country and new LB coach Rob Ryan will certainly be key in building the foundation and developing Tuitele into a premier player.

Tuitele chose USC over Arizona, Texas, and UNLV.

The Trojans currently have the 15th-ranked 2025 class, according to On3 Industry rankings. They also added talented, under-rated, EDGE prospect Jadyn Ramos yesterday.
