There are successful recruiting streaks, and then there is what the USC Trojans are currently experiencing. They have been red-hot since the hiring of GM Chad Bowden and do not show any signs of slowing down.
After gaining 3 commitments earlier this week (IOL John Fifita, WR Trent Mosley, and IOL Esun Tafa), the Trojans have gained another, this one on the defensive line.
4-star defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield has committed to the USC Trojans.

USC Trojans Gain Commitment From DL Jaimeon Winfield
Winfield is a 6’4, 290-pound defensive lineman from Richardson, Texas. Before committing today, he was heavily favored to the Texas Longhorns, with SMU and Texas A&M also lurking, but a strong push from Coach Henderson and company led to him choosing the Trojans. Per Hank South of 247 Sports, all future visits have been canceled, including an official visit that was scheduled with Texas in June.
Things could change, but for now, he is following Esun Tafa and Simote Katoanga in canceling any future visits and locking in with SC.

Winfield was in Southern Cal for an unofficial visit on March 7, which clearly had a big impact. He has an official visit scheduled with the Trojans for June 20.
He is a versatile player who will likely play in the 1 or 3 technique, but Coach Henny can use him all across the defensive line.
Per On3 Industry Rankings, he is the 7th-ranked DL in the Class and the 84th-ranked overall player. He will add to an already stacked No. 1-ranked 2026 recruiting class. And rumors are, more commitments are coming.
