Elite Quarterback Predicted To Flip From Oregon To USC Trojans, Lincoln Riley

The USC Trojans are back. Well, at least it is starting to feel that way in terms of recruiting. There is still a lot to be done to translate everything to wins on the field, but the Trojans and Lincoln Riley are trending back to dominance in the realm of recruiting.

One position that USC and Lincoln Riley have never had an issue with recruiting is Quarterback. The Trojans have a long history of legendary QBs, and Lincoln Riley has produced three Heisman winners, multiple first-overall picks, and now a Super Bowl winner and MVP.

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they have now been predicted to flip one of the elite 2026 quarterbacks from rival Oregon.

USC Trojans Predicted To Flip QB Jonas Williams From Oregon Ducks

While USC currently has the 2nd-ranked 2026 recruiting class, the Oregon Ducks hold the top spot and part of that is thanks to the commitment of 4-star QB Jonas Williams.

Williams has been committed to the Ducks since last August, but Riley has gone out to Illinois to visit him, and he was a surprise guest at USC’s Junior Day just a few weeks ago.

Steve Wiltfong, Chad Simmons, and Scott Schrader of On3 have all predicted Williams to flip from Oregon to USC.

In speaking with On3, Williams said:

“Coach Riley, he is the driving factor in my recruitment. He’s been recruiting me pretty hard. Also, what they did with the 25 class and what they’re doing with the 26 class is pretty intriguing…It’s one of my top contenders. I’m just taking it all in and grateful for the experience.”

Williams is currently the 7th-ranked QB in the 2026 class, per On3, and the 65th overall player. Also according to On3, his NIL valuation currently is $569K while the number one QB in the class, Jared Curtis, has an NIL value of $3.1 million. Take that for what you want.

Will Jonas Williams Have An Effect On USC Trojans Pursuit Of Ryder Lyons?

We can never say with absolute certainty that one action won’t have any effect on another, but if the Trojans are able to flip Williams, it should not have any effect on their pursuit of Lyons.

Lyons is currently listed as the 3rd-ranked QB in the 2026 class, but he plans on taking his LDS mission for a year after graduating high school. So in reality, he will be a member of the 2027 class. The Trojans will want a QB for each class, so this could work out perfectly.

We still have a long way to go, but things are looking strong for Lincoln Riley to flip Jonas Williams, who would join Husan Longstreet in the USC Trojans QB room next year.
