Prized Oregon Ducks Commit Sets Official Visit With USC Trojans

The USC Trojans have been hard at work to rekindle a lot of recruiting relationships in Southern California. One of those relationships is with high school powerhouse Mater Dei. In their heyday, USC had a nice pipeline with Mater Dei, but it has since been fractured, in a way.

Well, Lincoln Riley and his staff have been hard at work to rebuild it this offseason and are trending with a lot of 2026 Monarchs.

Three of the Top 5 California recruits all play for Mater Dei: WR Chris Henry Jr., TE Mark Bowman, and OT Kodi Greene.

Henry Jr. is currently committed to Ohio State, and Kodi Greene is committed to Oregon, but could the USC Trojans flip one or both?

Greene just announced via Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he has scheduled an official visit with USC, and at the moment, it is his last official visit scheduled.

How Big Of A Threat Are USC Trojans In Flipping Kodi Greene?

The 6’6, 310-pound Greene is the 4th-ranked OT in the 2026 class, according to On3 Industry Rankings. He is a priority target for USC as they aim to flip him. He will visit USC unofficially later this month before his OV in June.

His full OV schedule is:

  • Oregon: June 6-8
  • Texas: June 13-15
  • USC June 20-22

Greene was originally recruited by Josh Henson, who is now the OC at Purdue, so it will be interesting to see how new OL Coach Zach Hanson will approach his recruitment. New GM Chad Bowden will also be heavily involved, and Greene spoke to On3 about Bowden.

“I talked to him a little bit, he’s a great guy and I loved our phone call. He said he loves USC and it’s the best place he’s been. Coach Bowden also told me they’re really dialing down on the ’26 class in California. He said it’s the best California class he’s seen in a long time. So, they’re really dialing down on trying to get local kids to go to their school.”

Bowden is definitely the new secret weapon in USC recruiting, and he will play a major role with all priority recruits moving forward. The Trojans do not have an offensive lineman committed in 2026, but many are trending, and the USC Trojans are pushing hard to flip Greene.
