USC Trojans Officially Flip Elite Quarterback From Oregon

The USC Trojans are proving yet again that they are QBU and Lincoln Riley the true quarterback guru.

After a great visit at USC’s Junior Day, 4-star QB Jonas Williams began trending towards the Trojans. He had been committed to the Oregon Ducks since August, but the momentum had clearly swung in SC’s direction.

Now it is official.

Jonas Williams Flips Commitment From Oregon To USC Trojans

The 6’3, 215-pound quarterback from Frankfort Heights, Illinois is the perfect fit for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans offense.

Williams told Steve Wiltfong of On3, “My favorite things that excite me are the relationships I’ve built with Coach Riley, (Luke) Huard, and the GM Chad Bowden. That was an important factor for me and knowing that this offense will fit my playing style is reassuring.”

During an injury-riddled sophomore season in 2023, Williams threw for 3,196 yards and 33 touchdowns. He had to sit out last season after transferring schools but will start at Lincoln-Way East for his senior season.

He is the 7th-ranked QB in the On3 recruiting rankings, but considering he did not play last year, he could shoot up these rankings after his final season.

On flipping to USC, Williams told Tom Loy of 247 Sports, “I chose USC because of the culture, the relationships that I’ve built, and the playing style of the offense…This class is going to be very special.”

One exciting theme of the 2026 is that they all see fired up to be Trojans and are excited to be part of something bigger than themselves.

The USC Trojans 2026 Recruiting Class is currently ranked 2nd in the nation.
