The spring transfer portal is officially open, and while the USC Trojans will certainly look to add a few players for depth and competition, their sights are still set on the current team and building future recruiting classes.
They are in the midst of hosting a massive list of top recruits this week on campus, and just earned a prediction to land one of the rising local players.
Steve Wiltfong Gives USC Trojans Commitment Prediction for TE Luke Sorensen
The USC Trojans currently hold the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation and are looking to continue to add to it in their pursuit of having a full 35-player class.
One position that they are missing, however, is tight end. 5-star Mater Dei TE Mark Bowman is a highly coveted prospect whom the Trojans are pursuing, but there is another local player who is beginning to climb the rankings.
Servite prospect Luke Sorensen is quickly rising the ranks and is now trending towards the USC Trojans.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong just put in a recruiting prediction for Lincoln Riley, Chad Savage, and USC to land the 3-star prospect.
In speaking with On3, Sorensen said, “USC was awesome. Went there with two of my teammates and we had a great time watching the practice. What excited me is the players they have coming in and the raw energy they had during practice.”
Other top programs such as Miami, Nebraska, Michigan, and Texas A&M are in hot pursuit as well.
The 6’4, 230-pound TE out of Anaheim is the 38th-ranked tight end in the 2026 class, per On3 Industry Rankings, but I would expect him to shoot up the rankings after his Senior season. He is already commanding a lot of chatter throughout the offseason as one of the rising prospects.
He is scheduled to be on campus at USC today (4/16). Will the Trojans lock in a commitment?
