The USC Trojans continue their pursuit of having one of the best 2026 recruiting classes in the country, and it will get even stronger if the latest crystal ball prediction becomes a reality.
Greg Biggins of 247 Sports just put in a crystal ball for the Trojans to land the commitment of talented linebacker Talanoa Ili.
USC Trojans Land Crystal Ball For LB Talanoa Ili
The Oregon Ducks have been leaders for much of Ili’s recruitment, but since the hiring of GM Chad Bowden, and the new revamped recruiting strategy, the USC Trojans have gained a ton of traction.
Ili was considered a local prospect, playing his high school ball at Orange Lutheran in Orange County, but this offseason he moved to Hawaii and will finish his senior season at Kahuku.

According to 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Ili is the 3rd-ranked overall linebacker in the 2026 class, and the 32nd-ranked overall player. The 1st-ranked linebacker, Xavier Griffin, is already committed to USC.
Ili was last on campus for an unofficial visit on March 11, but visited Oregon two days later on March 13th.
While this crystal ball prediction signifies the momentum that the Trojans have in his recruitment, this one is far from over. He still has quite a few official visits lined up over the next two months, according to 247 Sports.
