USC Trojans Aiming To Flip Another Top Prospect From Texas School

Arguably the biggest recruiting flip in College Football last year, and certainly for the USC Trojans, was 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet flipping from Texas A&M to USC.

During the same time, A&M was able to flip 5-star wide receiver Jerome Myles from USC. The two schools have been going at it on the recruiting trail ever since.

This is certainly true for a local prospect who is currently committed to the Aggies.

St. John Bosco 4-star wide receiver Madden Williams was on campus on Saturday for USC’s practice, and the Trojans are picking up some steam in potentially flipping the Texas A&M commit.

Williams committed to Texas A&M right after Christmas, but the Trojans have begun to push their recruiting efforts as of late.

As mentioned, he was on campus a few days ago, along with some of the top SC commitments in the 2026 class, including QB Jonas Williams, Santa Margarita WR Trent Mosley, and Sierra Canyon CB Madden Riordan.

What felt like a long shot a few months ago has shifted to certainly possible. USC is making a pointed effort for all of its commits to build a family bond, so continually having local prospects around to see that bond being built is a strong strategy.

Crosstown rival UCLA was in on Williams for a while (still are), and they were close to landing him before he committed to A&M.

Williams is the 31st-ranked WR in the Country, according to On3 Industry Rankings. The 6’2, 185-pound wideout is definitely one to watch down the stretch to see if the USC Trojans can ultimately keep him home.
